The index tracks the broad-based equity performance of global companies engaged in the lithium industry. The fund provides thematic exposure to the lithium and battery technology value chain-from raw material extraction to battery manufacturing-which are key segments supplying the energy storage and electric vehicle markets. Listed on the NYSE and classified within the Natural Resources category, LIT launched in 2010 as one of the earlier exchange-traded products focused specifically on lithium-related equities.
