Banca Generali S.p.A. is an Italian wealth management bank that serves high net worth, affluent, and private clients primarily through a network of financial advisors. It operates via two segments-Private Banking CGU (PB CGU) and Senior Partner CGU (SP CGU)-and offers a broad suite of services including banking and payment accounts, custody and administration of financial instruments, investment advisory on primary and secondary markets, asset management (mutual funds, in-house products, and portfolio management), and the distribution of insurance products and insurance investments. Beyond traditional banking and investment services, the firm provides specialized wealth advisory covering corporate finance, real estate, art and collectibles, and family succession planning. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Milan, the company is a subsidiary of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A., one of the worlds largest insurance groups, which supports cross-selling of insurance and wealth products across its distribution network. Banca Generalis advisor-driven, fee-based model is characteristic of Italys retail private banking segment, where banks rely on commissioned financial advisors rather than branch networks to deliver personalized wealth solutions.
- Net inflows to managed assets expand recurring fee revenue base
- ECB rate cuts squeeze net interest margin on deposits
- Generali parent capital allocation supports consistent dividend distributions
