Description: BDVL Disciplined Volatility

The iShares Disciplined Volatility Equity Active ETF (BDVL) operates as an actively managed exchange-traded fund that, under normal circumstances, allocates at least 80% of its net assets to equity securities. This 80% threshold is a standard requirement under SEC naming rules for funds that include equity in their name. Beyond its equity focus, the fund may also invest in fixed-income securities, money market instruments, and other short-term securities when the management team identifies attractive risk-adjusted return opportunities.

The funds equity exposure spans common stock, preferred stock, American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), and other instruments whose value is linked to common stock. ADRs enable U.S.-listed funds like BDVL to gain exposure to foreign-domiciled companies without trading directly on international exchanges. Launched in June 2017, BDVL is classified as a Global Large-Stock Blend ETF and carries a small-cap market capitalization, reflecting its niche positioning within the actively managed volatility-focused segment of the ETF market.
