Description: EWW Mexico

The iShares MSCI Mexico ETF (EWW) is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the Mexican equity market. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in securities of its underlying index and in investments with substantially identical economic characteristics.

Its benchmark is a free float-adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index designed to capture large-, mid-, and small-cap segments of the Mexican equity market. The fund is structured as non-diversified, meaning it may hold a concentrated portfolio of Mexican-listed equities, which can increase exposure to country-specific political, currency, and economic risks. Launched in 1996, EWW provides U.S. investors with direct access to companies operating across key Mexican sectors such as financials, telecommunications, consumer staples, and materials (notably mining and cement).
