Description: FLGV Liberty U.S. Treasury Bond

Franklin Liberty U.S. Treasury Bond ETF (FLGV) is an intermediate-term government bond ETF listed on the NYSE that, under normal market conditions, invests at least 80% of its net assets in direct U.S. Treasury obligations. These include Treasury bonds, bills, notes, and Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS), as well as other investments that provide exposure to U.S. Treasuries. The fund may hold securities of any maturity but primarily targets those with a remaining maturity of 1 to 30 years, placing it in the intermediate-duration segment of the government bond market.

As a U.S. Treasury-focused ETF, FLGV offers exposure to securities backed by the full faith and credit of the federal government, which are generally regarded as among the lowest credit-risk investments available. The inclusion of TIPS provides a built-in inflation hedge, as their principal values adjust with changes in the Consumer Price Index. Intermediate government ETFs like FLGV typically aim to balance yield potential with lower interest-rate sensitivity compared to long-duration funds, while offering higher income potential than short-term Treasury vehicles.
