Description: FNDB Schwab Fundamental U.S.

The Schwab Fundamental U.S. Broad Market Index ETF (FNDB) is a passively managed fund that tracks an index weighted by fundamental measures of company size rather than market capitalization. It commits at least 90% of its net assets to the constituent stocks of its underlying index, which is built from U.S. companies in the RAFI Global Equity Investable Universe and ranks them using fundamental overall company scores. The fund may allocate up to 10% of its net assets to securities outside the index.

Unlike traditional market-cap-weighted broad market funds, FNDB uses Research Affiliates fundamental indexing methodology, which weights holdings based on metrics such as book value, cash flow, and dividends. Despite its broad-market name, the ETF is categorized as Large Value, indicating a portfolio tilt toward larger U.S. companies trading at relatively lower valuations.

Headlines to Watch Out For
  • Net inflows accelerate as value strategies outperform growth
  • Financials sector overweight amplifies index returns on rate moves
  • Expense ratio competition intensifies among fundamental weighted ETFs
