Description: FNDX Schwab Fundamental U.S.

The Schwab Fundamental U.S. Large Company Index ETF (FNDX) is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of a fundamental-weighted index of large-cap U.S. equities. The fund invests at least 90% of its net assets in stocks included in the underlying index, which selects large U.S. companies from the RAFI Global Equity Investable Universe based on fundamental overall company scores rather than traditional market capitalization.

Unlike conventional market-cap-weighted indices, FNDX uses a fundamental indexing methodology developed by Research Affiliates (RAFI), which weights constituents by measures of company size such as sales, book value, cash flow, and dividends. The fund is classified within the Large Value category and was introduced to the market in August 2013.

Headlines to Watch Out For
  • Fed rate cuts boost value stocks relative to growth
  • Financial sector weightings rise on steeper yield curve
  • Energy holdings benefit from rising oil prices
