Description: FXH Health Care AlphaDEX Fund

The First Trust Health Care AlphaDEX® Fund (FXH) is an exchange-traded fund that invests at least 90% of its net assets in securities comprising its underlying index, a modified equal-dollar weighted benchmark that draws stocks from the Russell 1000® Index within the health care sector. The index applies the proprietary AlphaDEX® selection methodology, which uses quantitative factor screens to rank and select companies that may outperform traditional capitalization-weighted benchmarks. The health care sector tracked by the fund spans subsectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and health care services providers. As a modified equal-dollar weighted index, holdings are periodically rebalanced so that each constituent receives approximately equal dollar allocations rather than weights based on market capitalization.

Headlines to Watch Out For
  • Healthcare sector rotation drives ETF inflows and outflows
  • AlphaDEX methodology outperformance versus cap-weighted health benchmarks
  • Drug pricing reform legislation pressures constituent pharma margins
