The iShares iBonds Dec 2031 Term Corporate ETF (IBDW) is a target-maturity bond ETF that tracks an index of U.S. dollar-denominated, taxable, investment-grade corporate bonds maturing between January 1, 2031 and December 15, 2031. The fund commits at least 80% of its assets to the components of the underlying index and at least 90% to fixed income securities of the type included in that index, and it operates as a non-diversified fund.
Target-maturity ETFs are structured to return principal at a predefined maturity date, combining the diversification of a bond portfolio with the trading flexibility of an exchange-traded fund. IBDW launched in June 2021 and is listed on the NYSE, offering investors a defined maturity corporate bond exposure within a fixed income allocation.
