The iShares Europe ETF (IEV) tracks the performance of large- and mid-cap companies across 14 developed European markets, including Germany, Frances neighbors, the Nordics, and the Benelux countries. Notably, the United Kingdom is excluded from the index composition, giving investors exposure to continental Europe and Switzerland without UK equities.

As a passively managed index fund, IEV adheres to the standard 80% investment policy required of U.S.-registered index ETFs, meaning at least 80% of its assets are held in the underlying indexs component securities or instruments with substantially identical economic characteristics. This structure keeps tracking error low and operating costs competitive relative to actively managed funds.
