Description: MINO PIMCO Trust - PIMCO

The PIMCO Municipal Income Opportunities Active ETF (MINO) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that primarily invests in U.S. municipal debt securities. Under normal market conditions, it allocates at least 80% of its assets to bonds whose interest payments are exempt from federal income tax, in the opinion of the issuers bond counsel at the time of issuance.

The fund may allocate up to 30% of its total assets to high yield (junk) securities, giving it flexibility to pursue higher income through below-investment-grade municipal credits. Its average portfolio duration typically varies within a range of negative 2 years to positive 2 years relative to the Bloomberg Municipal Bond Index, meaning the funds interest-rate sensitivity is generally kept close to that of the broad U.S. municipal bond market.

As an actively managed ETF in the municipal national intermediate category, MINO is structured to combine the tax-advantaged income of munis with the trading flexibility of the ETF wrapper. Active ETFs distinguish themselves from passive index-tracking funds by relying on portfolio manager judgment for security selection and risk positioning, rather than mechanically replicating a benchmark.
