The FlexShares STOXX Global Broad Infrastructure Index Fund (NFRA) is an exchange-traded fund that tracks the STOXX Global Broad Infrastructure Index, which is composed of publicly-traded infrastructure companies across developed and emerging markets, including the United States. The index is constructed and maintained by STOXX Ltd. according to its proprietary methodology.
Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in the component securities of the index, as well as in American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) and Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs) tied to those securities. Infrastructure companies generally operate in sectors such as transportation, utilities, energy, and communications, which typically generate relatively stable, regulated cash flows.
