The Invesco FTSE RAFI Emerging Markets ETF (PXH) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the FTSE RAFI Emerging Markets Index, which comprises approximately 350 common stocks of the largest companies located in countries classified as emerging markets by FTSE. The fund invests at least 90% of its total assets in the securities that make up the underlying index, as well as in American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) and Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs) that represent those index constituents.
As a passively managed fund listed on the NYSE, PXH provides investors with diversified exposure to large-cap emerging market equities through both direct securities and depositary receipts, which are financial instruments that allow U.S. investors to hold shares of foreign companies traded on domestic exchanges. The RAFI (Research Affiliates Fundamental Index) methodology used by the underlying index is notable for selecting and weighting constituents based on fundamental measures of company size-such as sales, cash flow, dividends, and book value-rather than traditional market capitalization weighting.
